Wage and Salaried Workers Delegation

The Wage and Salary Workers and Labor Union Delegation

The Largest Delegation-

This delegation is made up of every person that has to work for someone else, from card-carrying industrial union members, to seasonal farmhands, to part-time employees, to sex-workers, to those who are between jobs, to remote workers. In short: everyone who does a job, (except police, employers and politicians).

This delegation allows all workers to represent themselves as fellow workers, as union members, and will NEVER represent the interests of the employers, the investors, or the politicians.

Trades Unions and other Labor Unions have their strongest voice here, and it’s likely that this delegation will find themselves electing delegation leaders from among the more successful and militant unions, those who are the most connected to the most workers, and those who have a knack for fostering productive discussions and successful actions.

The Workers Delegation is a co-equal delegation, meaning that no matter how numerous the membership, this delegation commits one full delegatory vote to the full council. All members of this delegation are voting members. The delegation will elect its own leadership, which does not vote. Instead leaders are elected to facilitate discussion and to be the primary point of contact for the delegation.

This delegation will open, lead, and close all discussions during council business regarding labor rights, unions, and other workplace organizing activities. A member of this delegation will chair any labor related Council committees, and this delegation has veto power on all proposed mass labor actions.
